The City of Ottawa, hereinafter referred to as the City, has a requirement for qualified contractors to provide all labour, equipment, and materials for the provision of Shrub Bed Maintenance Services at City parks, boulevards, roadsides, and other City owned properties in accordance with the attached terms, conditions, and specifications of RFT No. 41725-98836-T01. The following equipment shall be a minimum requirement for use by each crew: One (1) gas or battery operated backpack or hand held blower Two (2) gas or battery operated hedge trimmers or gas or battery operated pole hedge trimmers as required One (1) Wheelbarrow Hand weeding tools Hand pruning tools Mulching tools Rakes Shovels Brooms Garbage Bags Any and all safety apparel/equipment The City requires fully equipped, self-contained maintenance crews to supplement City forces. The Contractor's crews shall perform shrub maintenance, shrub bed maintenance and hedge trimming at assigned sites, working alone or in conjunction with other City maintenance crews. The Contractor's crews shall report to the City of Ottawa Moodie Parks Depot, 1159 Moodie Dr., or to Iber Parks Yard, 110 Iber Rd., for assignments in either the South Parks or West Parks Maintenance Areas. Commercial General Liability insurance issued on an occurrence basis for an amount of not less than $5,000,000 per occurrence for any negligent acts or omissions by the Contractor. Such insurance shall include, but is not limited to, bodily injury, death and property damage including loss of use: premises, property and operations liability; products and broad form completed operations Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
