Renovation of a municipal facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

.1 Work to be carried out under this Contract, Roof Area 101 and 201 Replacement at 384 St. Patrick Street, Ottawa, Ontario. 2 Provide the necessary labour and materials to complete the removal of the existing roofing system, existing curbs, sheet metal flashings and membrane down to the existing structural deck and install a new roofing system as specified herein. 3 Temporary removal and reinstatement of existing siding between Roof Areas 101 and 201 will allow for the work. 4 The new roof system shall be as follows and as specified in the areas indicated on the drawings: 1 Typical Roof System R1: .1 Existing steel deck. 2 Existing 13 mm gypsum board (to be replaced where required) .3 Air/vapour barrier. 4 2 x 89 mm polyiso insulation. .5 Tapered insulation. .6 6 mm overlay board. 7 2-ply modified bituminous membrane. .5 Supply and installation of related rough carpentry at parapets and curbs. .6 Supply and install all sheet metal caps, counter flashings, fascia and all other roof related metal flashings required to complete roof installation. .7 Supply and installation of all sealants required to seal the transition of membrane and related metal detailing and the termination of sheet metal and non-membrane surfaces. 8 Supply and installation of new roof drains as detailed and indicated on the drawings and shall include vapour wrap and all other items required to complete the new drain installation. A bid deposit of ten percent (10%) of the Contract Price, in the form of an electronic bid bond, is required with this RFT. The electronic bid bond must meet the requirements set out in (b) below. The Bidder agrees that should the Bid be withdrawn within the stated Bid Acceptance Period, the Bid deposit may be forfeited to the City. No interest shall be payable on any bid deposit.
