This Contract provides for roadway improvements on 51st Avenue NE from 132nd Street NE to 135th Place NE, a length of approximately 1,100 linear feet The work to be performed under this contract includes the remov-al of various existing site improve ments, installation of new storm. systems, cement concrete curbs, gutters and concrete sidewalks, site grading, asphalt repair, and pavement markings. Additional items of work include temporary erosion control, traffic control and general site restoration, all in accordance with the Contract Plans, the Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The City will not consider pro-posals received after this time. Bidders shall submit an original bid in a sealed envelope labeled with the bidder's name and proj ect title. The Engineer's Estimate for this project is $1,400,000. It is anticipated that this proj-ect will be funded in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its depart-ments or employees are, or shall be, a party to any contract or any subcontract resulting from this solicitation for bids. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond (with an autho-rized surety company as sure-ty) made payable to the City of Marysville in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The City of Marysville reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period of forty-five (45) days. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best inter-est of the City.
