The Project consists of demolition of an existing water booster pump station building, demolition of existing pump and control equipment, replacement with a new water booster pump station building, pump and control equipment, permanent natural gas backup generator, approximately 100 feet of water main and ancillary mechanical, electrical and site improvements. Project also includes upgrades to electrical and SCADA controls for the nearby Maplewood Sanitary Pump Station. Question Deadline 04/24/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security in the form of a bid bond for a sum no less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each Bid. Bids shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes plainly marked with the project name and the name of the bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of one hundred twenty (90) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of the Bids. Owner reserves and has the right, in Owner's sole discretion, to: reject or accept any bid/proposal, including without limitation, a non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, incomplete or conditional bid/proposal; waive any failure to comply with or fully satisfy the requirements of bid specifications or the specifications of a request for proposal; extend the time for filing a bid or proposal; reject the bid/proposal of any bidder/proposer if Owner believes it would not be in the best interest of the project or Owner to make an award to that bidder/proposer; reject the bid or proposal of any bidder/proposer whom Owner finds, after reasonable inquiry, to be non-responsible; waive all informalities not including price, time or changes in the work; or, negotiate contract terms with the apparent successful bidder/proposer.
