WACOG has awarded Weber County funds for construction for the widening of 2550 South from 4700 West to 3500 West Currently, 2550 South from 4700 West to 3500 West consists of two lanes with minimal shoulders and drainage ditches along most of this stretch. Weber County is experiencing a significant amount of growth in the area, including the opening of a high school. The proposal will need to be split into two phases. From 4300 West to 3500 West (1 mile) will be called phase 1 and 4700 West to 4300 West (0.5 mile) is called phase 2. Phase 1 is fully funded and phase 2 is partially funded. Phase 2 might not happen, because it might not get fully funded, but each responsive proposal must include both phases, with separate cost schedules for each phase. The cost schedule for phase 2 must state how long the cost schedule will be honored, meaning how long after the award of a contract the County may elect to proceed with phase 2 at the cost stated in the proposal. If, after that time, the County notifies the Consultant that it will proceed with phase 2, then the County will allow the Consultant to propose and negotiate a new cost schedule for phase 2, if an increase is needed due to price increases.
