Scope- NFSR 1333 East Sylco Ridge ERFO Repair This project is a result of flood damage that occurred during the August 2023 flood event that impacted East Tennessee. In this particular area, heavy rain was received that impacted the road surface and drainage features. The purpose of the NFSR 1333 East Sylco Ridge ERFO Repair is to repair flood impacts on 4.9 miles of road. The work will consist of culvert replacement, road reconditioning, aggregate surfacing, and various other road reconditioning activities. The project plans outline specific activities and their locations in the project area. The project is located along TN state Hwy 68 between Tellico Plains and Ducktown. Project Coordinates (Lat. 35.068751, Long. -84.642784) From TN-64 intersection with TN-411 in Polk County, TN Proceed east on TN-64 2.5 miles Turn right on Cookson Creek Rd Travel SE on Cookson Cr Rd 4.5 miles to 'Turkey Foot' intersection When road turns to gravel, the road name changes to NFSR 55 Baker Creek Road Make slight right to stay on Baker Creek Road Travel south 5.7 miles to project location. All contract activities shall be completed within 120 days of contract award. This work consists of excavating material and constructing embankments. This work also includes furnishing, hauling, stockpiling, placing, disposing, sloping, shaping, compacting, and finishing earthen and rocky material. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As of April 7, 2025, A General contractor has been assigned for this project.
