2024 RTAP Bridge Rehabilitation Project Contracts 1-3 Rehabilitation of six railroad bridges near Carnegie, Belle Vernon, Jacobs Creek, Avella, and Maple, Pennsylvania. The project is divided into three contracts; bidders may submit a bid for one or more. Work includes structural steel repairs, bearing replacements, concrete abutment modifications, and superstructure replacements. All work must conform to AREMA, PennDOT BRFPW Supplemental Conditions: Trackwork Construction, and other specified standards. The project is funded by both the Railroad and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). Contractors must provide their own PPE and arrange transportation (except where Hi-Rail is provided by the Railroad). Bidders must submit an Intent to Bid via email to receive project updates and the Microsoft Teams link for the bid opening. 100% Performance and Payment Bonds are required. Railroad Protective Liability Insurance, the PA Prevailing Wage Act, and the PA Steel Products Procurement Act apply. Bidders must have a valid PennDOT VDMU number and FEIN, which must be included on the bid form. The Railroad reserves the right to waive informalities, accept any bid, reject any or all bids, and adjust the scope of work to meet available funds, if deemed in its best interest. Bids must remain valid for 60 days from the date of opening. Award is subject to PennDOT approval.
