As of May 8, 2025, project is awarded to John Neri Construction with the amount of $3,060,812. 50. Project involves the installation of approximately 3,150 LF of 12-in, 8-in, and 6-in dia. ductile iron watermain and appurtenances, 3,500 LF of 1" copper water service replacement, 600 LF of storm sewer improvements, 10 drainage structures, 500 LF of 6" sanitary sewer service replacement, 5,450 LF of roadway improvements which includes 13,650 SY of asphalt paving, 9,610 LF of concrete curb & gutter, 2,120 SY concrete and asphalt drive aprons, and 11,500 SF of concrete sidewalk. The project also includes lead water service replacement which involves the removal and replacement of approximately 16 lead domestic water services, from the property line to the existing residence, with approximately 650 LF of 1" diameter type K copper tubing. The replacement of these services will also include interior residence restoration and asbestos abatement, if found. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Village reserves the right to defer, postpone, delay, or reschedule the Bid Opening for such time and to such date as the Village, in its sole discretion, determines is in the best interest of the Village. BID SECURITY: Bid Security in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in the form of bid bond, cash, certified check, cashier's check, or draft payable to The Village of Franklin Park. CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish either both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit acceptable to the Village for 100 percent of the Contract Price, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. MBE: 10% of the total bid price WBE and/or PBE: 5% of the total bid price AWARD OF CONTRACT AND RIGHTS RESERVED: The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder based on criteria set forth by the Village. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, award each schedule individually, and to waive any informalities or technicalities in bidding. The Village shall, in its sole discretion, determine what does or does not constitute an informality or technicality, and, in submitting a Bid, the Bidder agrees to be bound by that determination. No contract will be awarded to any person or entity that is in arrears to the Village of Franklin Park, Illinois upon any debt or contract with the Village of Franklin Park, Illinois, or who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise upon any obligation to the Village of Franklin Park, Illinois. The Contractor shall provide and bear the expense of all equipment, work, and labor of any sort whatsoever that may be required for the transfer of materials and completing the work provided for in this Agreement, unless otherwise specified in this agreement. The Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. The Contractor shall perform all work and furnish all tools, materials, and equipment to accomplish the proposed improvements and associated services consistent with the accepted practices for other similar services, performed to the Village's satisfaction, within the period prescribed by the Village and pursuant to the direction of the Utilities Commissioner or designee. The Contractor assumes the risk of all conditions foreseen or unforeseen and agrees to continue to perform the work described in this Agreement without additional compensation where debris collects in sewers caused by excessive rainfall. These corrections shall not give rise to a claim for additional compensation or allow substantial variance from the agreed schedule.
