The Town of Fairfield (Town) on behalf of Fairfield Public Schools (the "District") is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to perform quarterly inspections and testing of emergency lights and exit signs across multiple district schools. Monthly Testing: (10-minute testing August- June) Perform monthly testing of emergency lighting and exit signs at the following middle schools: o Tomlinson Middle School o Roger Ludlowe Middle School Perform Monthly testing at the following high schools: o Fairfield Ludlowe High School o Fairfield Warde High School o Walter Fitzgerald Alternative High School Annual 90-Minute Load Testing (July): Conduct 90-minute load tests once per year at: o Five secondary schools listed above o Ten elementary schools listed above Dwight Elementary School Holland Hill Elementary School Jennings Elementary School McKinley Elementary School Mill Hill Elementary School North Stratfield Elementary School Osborn Hill Elementary School Riverfield Elementary School Roger Sherman Elementary School Stratfield Elementary School o The 90-minute load tests will be performed in July without interfering with summer school activities. Addenda will not be mailed, e-mailed or faxed out. Written requests for information will not be accepted later than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled Bid opening. The Town intends to award an initial one (1) year contract with four (4) one-year optional renewal terms. A five (5) percent bid bond (or equal approved security) as stated per the Terms and Conditions must be submitted with the proposal based on the amount of $50,000.00. Any bid submitted without such security will be excluded from the bidding process. No exceptions. Fairfield Public Schools reserves the right to accept or reject any proposals in whole or in part and to waive any minor informalities. The district may choose to award contracts to multiple vendors if necessary to meet service demands.
