Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library; for site work for a library; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

As of May 30, 2025, no award has been given. The Bloomfield Children's Library is a part of the Bloomfield Green Historic District which is on the National & State Historic Register (NR: SG78001757, SR: 1063) It was built in 1927 where it served as the main library until 1967 when the current main library was constructed. The building's main floor consists of the children's library with the lower-level housing a theatre and the 2nd floor home to a museum curated by the Bloomfield Historical Society. The work includes restoring the exterior of the Bloomfield Children's Library to maintain public safety and facilitate the building's long-term preservation. The included plans were submitted to the state of New Jersey Historic Preservation Office and deemed to not constitute an encroachment on historic properties and approved as proposed. Pursuant to 7:4-7.4(b)2 on August 2nd, 2024. The scope of the project involves: . In-kind replacement of 10 deteriorated foundation-level windows and replacement of 9 deteriorated upper arched-top windows with aluminum clad wood units to closely match existing dimensions and profiles . Rehabilitation of damaged windows; . Patching of west volume's asphalt roof and in-kind shingle replacement of main volume's slate roof as needed . Repairing the brick chimney flue . Upgrading the storm drainage system . Repair and repainting damaged section of the wood soffit, fascia and ledgecap; . Rehabilitating damaged masonry Work must be done in accordance with SHPO standards and meet the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Contractor to complete historic preservation qualification form Bids must be made on proposal forms and must be enclosed in sealed, special addressed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and work bid upon, on the outside, and must be accompanied by a duly executed Consent of Surety, Statement of Financial Responsibility, Non-Collusion Affidavit and Certified Check or Bid Bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 as a guarantee of good faith and must be delivered at the above place at the time designated. Bids not enclosed in special addressed envelopes will be considered informal and will not be opened. The Township Council reserves the right to reject all bids or all items in the proposal; to increase or decrease or eliminate such items as may be necessary for the adoption of any alternate; to accept that one which, in its judgment, best serves its interest; to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder.
