Alexander with an awarded amount of $397,379.82.** The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, etc. for clearing, excavation, grading, construction of curb, sidewalk, curb ramps, traffic signal upgrades, signing, striping, paving and all associated and other work that is required Work to be completed in 330 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The contract duration shall consist of two (2) phases: the first phase shall be 270 calendar days and includes assumption of maintenance of the existing traffic signal, and administrative and construction preparation work. Such inquiries or notices shall be in writing and shall be received by the Engineer at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids, weekends and holidays excepted The second phase shall be 60 calendar days and includes the installation and construction of project pay items, related site construction work and close out of the project. Bids must be made on proposal forms and must be enclosed in sealed, special addressed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and work bid upon, on the outside, and must be accompanied by a duly executed Consent of Surety, Statement of Financial Responsibility, Non-Collusion Affidavit and Certified Check or Bid Bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 as a guarantee of good faith and must be delivered at the above place at the time designated. Bids not enclosed in special addressed envelopes will be considered informal and will not be opened. Bidders are required to be registered by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development at the time bids will be received by the Township Of Bloomfield pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act (P.L. 2003, c. 91, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.51). Bidders are also required to be registered by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue at the time bids will be received by the Township Of Bloomfield pursuant to the Business Registration Act (P.L.2004, c.57, N.J.S.A.52:32-44). Bidders shall also comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, Chapter 127 and P.L. 1982, Chapter 107. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31, et seq. & N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bidders shall also comply with P.L. 1963, c. 150 (Prevailing Wage) and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12101, et seq.). In addition, effective August 1, 2005, P.L. 2005, c.67 authorized a new form of change order called Value Engineering Construction Change Orders for certain construction contracts.
