NJ TRANSIT is issuing an IFB for work that generally consists of but is not limited to roof restoration. Question Deadline 08/01/2025 at 11:59 PM ET All inquiries and requests for clarifications regarding this Invitation for Bid shall be submitted in the space provided in the electronically. All firms must be prequalified by NJ TRANSIT prior to submitting a Bid. Bidders must be prequalified for "BR" - Building Construction-Rail (Operating Railroad Environment) as a "GC" (General Contractor), " BC" - Building Construction - Non-Operating Railroad Environment as a "GC" (General Contractors) for an amount of work that is equal to or greater than their bid amount. NJ TRANSIT suggests a minimum rating of "G" ($500,001 to $750,000). Prequalification questionnaires are available for download from online. Bidders who are not currently prequalified as required above or whose prequalification has expired MUST submit completed prequalification forms to Jessica Silko at jsilko@njtransit.com no later than the submittal date identified in the Special Provisions. Late prequalification submissions will not be considered for this solicitation. A fifteen percent (15%) Category 6 SBE/DVOB Goal has been assigned to this project. In accordance with N.J.S.A. 27:25-11 and N.J.A.C. 16:72-2.2 Bidders are notified that a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price is required with their Bids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Description of Work NJ TRANSIT NLR is soliciting bids for the installation of a liquid roof coating system to the complete VBF facility roof area. The scope of work shall include but not be limited to all labor, materials, equipment, transport, and removal and disposal of all debris. The scope of work shall consist of the following. 1. Submittals/Schedule a. All work, including mobilization and preparation shall begin within 30 calendar days following NJ TRANSIT's issuance of a Notice-to-Proceed. b. Shop drawings, coating and repair material specifications and any other necessary submittals for NJ TRANSIT review and approval shall be provided to the Program Manager within 15 days following the issuance of a Notice-toProceed. c. Submittals shall include the proposed manufacturers, material/part name or number, application instructions, colors, finishes, and lead times for each item. d. All coating materials required shall be provided by a single manufacturer, unless otherwise required or approved. e. Provide site specific safety work-plan for NJ TRANSIT review and approval prior to work commencement. i. Provide a detailed project schedule showing the work tasks that will be accomplished by day during the project duration. 2. Work site Safety a. The Contract assumes all responsibility for the training, equipment, supplies and equipment necessary to safely perform the scope of work including but not limited to harnesses, ladders, masks, protective equipmentand clothing, and securing of any work apparatus. There shall be no separate compensation for tasks or items associated with Worksite Safety.
