Renovation of an educational facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Ellis building at the University of Manitoba requires a major upgrade to the existing Reverse Osmosis (RO) distribution system. This project is to provide a Design-Build solution to procure the Pre-qualified Mechanical contractor who will be responsible as the Prime contractor and will carry the other required consultants and contractors as subs. The current system, which uses a glass delivery system, has experienced repeated leaks over the last decade, necessitating frequent maintenance. Budget on this project will be determined by the actual market price. The successful proponent will provide full design-build services necessary to design and install new RO distribution system for the Ellis building. It is expected that the design portion of the work will take approximately 2-3 months to complete, followed by supply and installation. A complete and detailed schedule will be developed with the successful proponent. Construction of the project will be scheduled for the Summer of 2025 to avoid any major disruption to the operations of the Ellis building.
