The Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in providing construction services for the Obstruction Removal Phase 1 project at Peter Prince Field. This project consists of removal and disposal of trees at Peter Prince Field. Question Submission Deadline:April 30, 2025, 12:00pm. This item shall consist of all labor, supervision, equipment, services, and expertise necessary to perform tree clearing services for all areas within the work limits designated on the plans. Tree clearing services can consist of cutting and/or grinding/milling of undesirable, tall-growing "canopy-sized" vegetation that can grow to interfere with airfield operations. 1.1 Clearing shall consist of cutting and mulching, or grinding of canopy vegetative species, including snags, within the wetlands and uplands identified, and within the clearing limits to height flush with existing grade. The material shall be removed and disposed of offsite or mulched on-site. Mulched materials may only be spread in upland areas. Clearing activities also include the removal of brush and shrubs but will NOT include work that impacts the soil, including grubbing, grading and/or ripping or tearing of vegetation from the ground. 1.2 Herbicide Treatment: Not used.
