Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District is seeking bids from qualified contractors to supply and install approximately 1,100 lf of 2 rail dimensional lumber fence. Bid should be based on a per foot basis, assuming $1,100 liner feet. Final price will be determined by measuring the amount of fencing installed. All fence wood is to be rough milled cedar and treated with exterior grade, oil based, non-toxic transparent wood stain. Rails are to be 2" x 6". Posts are to be 6" x 6" minimum. Posts are to be set a minimum of 2' below grade and completely surrounded by concrete. Posts are to be no more than 8' o/c. Minimum 3/8" lag bolts should be used to secure rails to posts. Predrill wood prior to installation of bolts. Fasten wire mesh to the south side of the fence. Mesh should be approx.. 1" x 4" with minimum 2 mm welded wire. Wire will be from ground level to the top of the upper rail. Rails will be on the south side of the posts Work may begin as soon as the contract is awarded, depending on the permitting process. Forty-Five calendar days will be allowed for completion. For bids over $50,000.00, 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required from the awarded bidder.
