Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference:* The purpose of this Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") is to solicit experienced architectural design firms to provide architectural design services for the Gampel Pavillion Renovation project on the Storrs Campus. The goal of this project's renovation is to modernize and create maximum efficiencies of the existing spaces in Gampel Pavilion while also further increasing new revenue generating areas and opportunities that support the facility's use. Gampel Pavillion's renovation will require significant improvements to the building's accessibility, floor plan layout, and ingress/egress to be in full compliance with the current American Disability Act (ADA) federal access requirements, State of Connecticut, and local code requirements. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") is to solicit experienced Construction Manager at Risk companies to provide pre-construction, planning, and construction services for a renovation of approximately 171,000 square foot existing domed arena on University's Storrs campus. Q&A (RFI) Due Date and Time April 23, 2025 2:00 pm PROJECT SCHEDULE/DURATION: o Anticipated Contract Issuance/Notice to Proceed: July 14, 2025 o Construction is planned to start: February 1, 2026 o Construction Duration: 18 months : The Set-Aside Requirement for this Project is that (1) not less than thirty percent (30%) of the Guaranteed Maximum Price be awarded to subcontractors who are certified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services as "Small Business Enterprises" ("SBEs") and (2) not less than ten percent (10%) of the Guaranteed Maximum Price be awarded to subcontractors who are certified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services as "Minority Business Enterprises" ("MBEs") (the 10% set aside for MBEs may be included in the 30% set aside for SBEs). The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring that the S/MBEs they have selected are eligible Connecticut-certified S/MBE contractors. The University reserves the right to modify the contract or waive any informality as it deems to be in the best interest of the University.
