**As of June 10, 2025, the project was awarded to R. Zoppo Corp., with an awarded amount of $1,716,772.50.** Each prospective bidder proposing to bid on this project must be qualified by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation(MassDOT) in accordance with 700 CMR 14.00 "Prequalification of Contractors and Subcontractors". The work of this contract includes, but is not limited to, the complete removal and replacement of the existing Newbury Street Bridge over Salisbury Brook. The work is inclusive of a bridge superstructure and substructure elements, existing stone masonry repointing,roadway pavement and sidewalk replacement within the project limits along Newbury Street and Ellsworth Street, temporary support of earth during and water handling during construction, all earthwork, dewatering and drainage, geotechnical monitoring, restoration, utility crossing, traffic management, miscellaneous work and cleanup, and all work required in the Contract Documents. The Contract Time shall be approximately 140 Calendar Days, commencing 20 days following the Effective Date of the Agreement. Winter shutdown shall be enforced between November 27, 2025, and March 31, 2026,unless approved by Owner.
