For more information call (907) 861-8601 or e-mail purchasing@matsugov.us The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB) Project Management Division is soliciting bids from qualified Contractors for the Station 3-9 Clearing and Well Install located at 13069 E. Marsh Rd, Palmer, AK. The scope includes a site survey to establish the clearing limits and well location, tree & debris clearing to access the well location, and installation of a water well complying with AWWA A100 regulations of the Alaska Department of Environmental Conversation. This site will be the location of a new Fire and EMS facility (Station 3-9) and an established well with an adequate water flow rate is required prior to construction of the new facility. The scope of work will include, but is not limited to: o Site survey to identify the clearing limits and well location o Tree clearing and grubbing to access the well location o Install geotextile and gravel fill in ditch off Marsh Road to access the well location o Note: the geotextile and gravel ditch fill shall be removed after the project is completed. o Removal of trees, debris, junk and trash from the site within clearing limits o Site restoration after job completion o Provide a water well complying with AWWA A100, regulations of the Alaska Department of Environmental Conversation, and have the following characteristics: o Capacity: capable of producing a minimum of 70 gallons of water per minute o 6 inch well casing with Bentonite grout o Drilled well to a depth up to 200 feet o Water flow test o Note: additional well drilling depth and water flow tests may be added if needed to meet minimum requirements. o Coordination with MSB consultant engineer(s) for water flow testing
