Work shall consist of, but not be limited to, replacing/relocating signal poles, controller/associated controls, and ADA ramps. The proposed work shall occur within the BaltimoreStreet (SR0616), Hanover Street, Manchester Street (SR0216) and Main Street (SR0216) intersection in Glen Rock Borough, York County. Intersection work improvementsshall consist of traffic light signal upgrades and ADA concrete curb ramps. Workconsistsof items denoted on the enclosed plans. Traffic light signal upgrades include, but anot limited to; Controller and electronically components, traffic support mast arm, signals, cable, conduit, trenching and backfill, pedestals, signage, pavement linestripping, andremoval of existing traffic control. ADA curb ramps include; concrete sidewalkandramps,detectable warning surfaces, concrete curb, Penn DOT full depth pavement, joint sealing,and associated construction. Contractor shall follow and implement theconstructiondesign as referenced on the approved plans. Work under this Contract shall include, butnot limited to, all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, mobilization, disposal ofmaterials, insurances, and any other items to complete construction. Construction: Any street construction must be completed fromApril 1throughOctober31, 2025 unless otherwise approved by PADOT. Concrete and SuperPavematerial mustbe placed following Publication 408 Specifications (latest edition). A bid bond or certified check made payable to Glen Rock Borough in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany the sealed bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Each bidder shall be prepared to submit evidence of his qualifications to perform the work. The Borough Authority reserves the right, which is agreed and understood by all bidders, to accept or reject any or all bids and waive irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn by the bidder for sixty (60) days after closing time of the opening of the bid proposals. Wage Rates are included in the Contract Documents. Glen Rock Borough hereby authorizes James R. Holley & Associates, Inc. to act on their behalf by opening bids. Bids will be considered and contracts awarded at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Borough based on the recommendations of the Engineer.
