Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Marathon, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a 300-square-foot municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
**As of September 10, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Each Bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond utilizing the bond form at Section 401, or a cashier's check drawn on a national or state bank and valid and effective for at least 120 days, payable unconditionally to the City of Marathon, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the Total Base Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will, if award is made, execute a Contract to do the Work for the Bid amount and furnish any required certificates of insurance and bond documents within the time period specified in Article 16 of the General Conditions, Document 00700. The Bid Bond or cashier's check shall be made payable to: City of Marathon Question Deadline 07/23/2025 All inquiries and requests for clarifications or interpretations of the Bidding Documents shall be made in writing to the CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE, at least seven (7) days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. For the purpose of this Bid the CITYS REPRESENTAITVE is Amanda Herrera, Public Works & Engineering Administrative Assistant, and inquiries can be sent to herreraa@ci.marathon.fl.us. The construction of this project consists of labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the approximately 300 square foot raised building to serve as an information/security station at Sombrero Beach.
