Carroll County (hereinafter referred to as "the County") is soliciting quotes from qualified and experienced landscaping contractors to provide comprehensive landscaping services for the Carroll County Campus located in Ossipee, New Hampshire. Any questions regarding this RFQ should be directed to Carroll County DPW Director Will DeWitte at (603)539-5125 or wdewitte@cchoc.org The landscaping services required under this RFQ shall include, but not be limited to, the following: o Lawn Mowing: Regular mowing of all turf areas on the County Campus, including trimming around buildings, sidewalks, parking areas, and other obstacles. The Contractor shall specify the frequency of mowing (e.g., weekly). o Edging: Regular edging of sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, and planting beds to maintain a clean and defined appearance. o Weeding: Control of weeds in turf areas, planting beds, and hardscape areas through manual removal, herbicide application (if applicable and with proper licensing), or other effective methods. The Contractor shall specify their approach to weed control. o Shrub and Hedge Trimming: Regular trimming and shaping of all shrubs and hedges on the County Campus to maintain their health, appearance, and size. o Tree Pruning (minor): Minor pruning of small trees and removal of dead or hazardous branches within reach from the ground. Major tree work may be addressed separately. o Mulching: Application and replenishment of mulch in planting beds as needed to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and enhance aesthetics. The Contractor shall specify the type of mulch to be used. o Leaf Removal: Seasonal removal and disposal of fallen leaves from turf areas, sidewalks, parking lots, and other designated areas. The Contractor shall specify their method of leaf removal and disposal. o Spring Clean-up: Initial clean-up of the grounds in the spring, including fixing plow marks in the lawns and reseeding grass in those areas, removal of winter debris, dead foliage, and general tidying. o Fall Clean-up: Final clean-up of the grounds in the fall, including final leaf removal and preparation for winter. o General Grounds Maintenance: Maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the County Campus grounds, including removal of litter and debris. Service Requirements: o Frequency: Mowing should be done weekly, the Contractor shall specify the proposed frequency for each of the others services (e.g., bi-weekly weeding, trimmings). o Equipment: The Contractor shall provide a list of equipment to be used for landscaping services on the County Campus, ensuring it is in good working order and adequate for the size and scope of the property. o Materials: The Contractor shall specify the types of materials to be used (e.g., mulch type, herbicides) and ensure they are environmentally responsible and appropriate for the local climate. o Insurance: The Contractor shall maintain adequate insurance coverage, including general liability and worker's compensation, and provide proof of insurance upon request. Specific coverage o Licensing and Certifications: If applicable, the Contractor shall provide copies of any relevant licenses or certifications (e.g., pesticide applicator license). o Compliance: All services shall be performed in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
