No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a bid bond secured by an approved surety or sureties, payable to the owner, for not less than five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate performance and payment bonds each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price at the time of contract execution. The owner reserves the right to select any one of the combinations of the base bid(s) and alternate bid(s), which in the judgment of the owner, best serves the owners interest.
