The project generally consists of roadway maintenance in the form of a town wide Otta Seal, similar to a chip seal. Some segments of roadway will be pulverized and graded before the Otta Seal to create a new driving surface. No utility work is anticipated. Minor striping will be done to replace markings that have been sealed over. Work expected to begin Spring 2025. Roadway closures to be allowed on a segment-by-segment basis with detours provided. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Only properly executed proposals submitted on the forms furnished in the Bidding Documents will be accepted. All bidders are required to submit a list of subcontractors that will perform work on the project amounting to ten percent (10%) or more of the contract amount. Rejection of Bids: The Town of Garfield reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, or any Bid not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Bidding Documents. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within 60 days after the actual Bid Opening. The Town of Garfield intends to select the lowest responsible bid among qualified bidders.
