The Village of Slinger hereby gives notice that bids shall be received for the Water Street Roadway & Water Main project. The Village of Slinger will be receiving & accepting bids for the Water Street Roadway & Water Main project. Approximate quantities are as follows: 8" C900 PVC Water Main with Granular Backfill 600 LF Water Services (3) 50 LF Road Reconstruction (Flange to Flange) 2,100 SY Trench Restoration - Paved Surfaces (Parking Lot) 200 SY Crushed Aggregate 1 1/4-Inch 1,200 TON Bituminous Concrete Pavement 3 LT 58-28 S 400 TON Bituminous Concrete Pavement 4 LT 58-28 S 270 TON 30" Concrete Curb & Gutter (Spot Replacement) 300 LF Sidewalk 500 SF This is a unit price contract. The estimated quantities as indicated above & on the Bid Schedule are inserted only for the purpose of determining the low bidder. Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within 15 days after the Award, the Bid Security shall be forfeited to Owner as liquidated damages. Bidder awarded a contract for the work shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond & a Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract price. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days from the date of the bid opening. The Owner has the right to reject any &/or all bids received, to waive any minor defects or irregularities that may be found in the bids, & to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Owner.
