Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Beattie, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Sealed bids for the removal and relocation of a 35' steel low truss, simple (SLTS) with a 16' timber deck will be received by Marshall County, Kansas. The bridge is located on 24th Rd, 2.7 miles North and 2.5 miles East of Beattie, Kansas over a tributary to the Robidoux Creek. The steel pin steel truss bridge was built in 1906 and is 4' high and 16'-11" wide. The successful bidder will be responsible for removing and relocating the bridge at the bidder's expense and in accordance with Kansas State Historical and Preservation office, including prior approval from the KSHP office of the new location site for the removed truss bridge. The removal and relocation will need to be completed within a specified time frame prior to construction of the new bridge, which will be determined by Marshall County, Kansas.
