Holt Public Schools invites qualified vendors to submit proposals for the replacement of existing drinking fountains with filtered drinking water stations in accordance with Michigan's Filter First legislation (Public Act 197 of 2023). This project covers eight (8) district buildings and aims to ensure safe, accessible, lead-reduced drinking water for all students and staff. Background Public Act 197 of 2023 mandates all Michigan schools to provide filtered water access points that meet NSF/ANSI certification standards. Holt Public Schools seeks full compliance through certified Elkay water station installations. The selected vendor will: o Conduct a district-wide walkthrough and site assessment o Remove existing units and responsibly dispose of them o Dumpster provided by contractor o Supply and install: o 57 Elkay LZS8WSSP-PF filtered drinking fountains o 50 Elkay Avado KLAV7051 filtered faucets o One Elkay Water Sentry Model 71300C replacement filter per unit o Handle all necessary plumbing and electrical work o Ensure ADA and Michigan state compliance o Provide staff training and documentation for legal compliance Provide a complete and functional product.
