Renovation of an educational facility in Holt, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
The project is for the removal of asbestos and potentially hazardous materials from Sycamore Elementary. Bids must meet or exceed all specification requirements. Each proposal must include a bid security of at least five percent of the base bid, either as a Bid Security Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Money Order payable to Holt Public School District. Contractors must include the cost of providing a 100% Labor and Material Payment Bond and a 100% Performance Bond and must be bondable. Bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized disclosure of any familial relationship between the bidder's employees or owners and members of the Holt Board of Education or district staff. Bids must also be accompanied by a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. The Holt Public Schools Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part; to award to bidders other than the low bidder; to waive irregularities or informalities; and to make awards in the best interests of the district, including awarding by line item. Bid prices are F.O.B. Destination. All bids are binding for ninety days after submission. All bids must be submitted on the specified bid forms, in two signed copies, and sent to the stated address. Oral, telephone, fax, or email bids will not be considered.
