The Roanoke Valley Resource Authority (AUTHORITY) is seeking reliable suppliers to provide and deliver stone meeting the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Road and Bridge Specifications, latest edition, to the Authority's facilities on an as-needed, on-call basis for a period of one year. The successful bidders shall provide stone and delivery services to the Tinker Creek Transfer Station, Salem Transfer Station, Smith Gap Regional Landfill, and the closed Rutrough Road Landfill, ensuring an uninterruptible supply of stone as specified in this Invitation for Bids. All questions must be submitted in writing to the address below. No questions will be accepted after May 15, 2025. All questions and answers will be posted in the form of an addendum through Virginia Businesses Opportunity website at online. The contracts, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidders, if any, subject to the Authority's right to reject any and all bids and to waive informality and irregularity in bids and bidding. The Authority may elect to enter into agreements with one or more quarries or private hauling companies at its sole discretion. The contract term shall commence on July 1, 2025, and continue until June 30, 2026, with the option for the Authority to extend the contract for up to four (4) additional one-year periods (each running from July 1 to June 30 of the respective year), subject to mutual written agreement of the parties. Initial Term. This Agreement shall commence on July 1, 2025, and continue until June 30, 2026, unless terminated earlier as provided herein.
