Shoulder Maintenance, milling, Patching & Surface Treatment Craig, Roanoke, Botetourt Counties. The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to furnish all equipment, labor, tools and transportation necessary to perform on-call hourly Shoulder Maintenance, Milling, Patching & Surface Treatment with operations not to exceed five hundred (500) feet in length, unless approved, in writing, by the Salem District Maintenance Engineer, at various locations within Roanoke, Botetourt & Craig Counties. The Contractor shall provide qualified licensed experienced operators for the equipment listed in this solicitation in accordance with the specifications contained herein. Contract will be awarded in two (2) LOTS. The lots are defined as: 1. LOT-1 Craig County 2. LOT-2 Roanoke & Botetourt Counties Contractors may bid on more than one (1) lot; however, Contractors must have the capacity to perform services for each lot they are awarded. The initial term or period of the contract shall be for a one-year (12 month) period with the effective date to be determined at time of award. (Renewable) A pre-bid conference will not be held for this solicitation; however, potential bidders are encouraged to present questions and obtain clarification relative to any facet of this solicitation.
