Northwest Fire District is accepting bids for remodel work on a fire station located at 1834 W. Wallen Rd. Fort Wayne, IN 46818. Work indicated on the design drawing prepared by and under the direction of Douglas A.McComb, Inc and available via contact info below. The existing structure is a one-story masonry building built in several phases over the past 80+ years. The new construction will be wood framing and drywall. This project will include renovating approximately 1,530 square feet of existing interior space. This project will include the following:Converting the existing Sleeping Quarters into a Men s Locker Room.Constructing a new Mechanical Room near the Men s Locker Room.Constructing a new Women s Locker Room.Constructing a new Sleeping Quarters.New Air Conditioning in the existing, Kitchen, Office and Day Room.No site work other than installing new Air Condensing Units.This project will require the General Contractor to coordinate with the Fire Department all construction work such that the Fire Department can continue a normal work environment and routine. The General Contractor will be responsible for routing the design documents thru the Allen County/Fort Wayne Building Department(ACFWBD). This project has less than 100 lineal feet of new wall construction and other construction requirements that allow the ACFWBD to release this project for construction subject to a local review.
