**As of the project was awarded to MCK Services , with an awarded amount of $2,622,375.00.** **As of June 26, 2025, project was awarded, start date is July 14, 2025** Scope of Work: The work to be done in general consists of mobilization; preparatory work, securing the work area for public safety, and site cleanup daily, clearing and grubbing, traffic control; water pollution control program; rubberized cape seal (ARAM); slurry seal; digouts; cold planning of asphalt pavement; placement of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA); concrete curb, gutter, curb ramps, and sidewalk; pruning and removal of tree roots; lowering and adjustment of utility covers to finish grade; removal & replacement of traffic striping and pavement markings; installation of roadside signs; and all other work shown on the Plans and as specified in the Project Manual and all other work as specified in these Special Conditions, Technical Provisions, and as shown on the Plans. Engineer's Estimate: Schedule A: $1,700,000 - Base Bid Schedule B: $1,300,000 - Base Bid Schedule C: $200,000 - Add Alternate Time for Final Completion. The Project must be fully completed within 75 working days for Base Bid (Schedules A and B), weekends and holidays excluded, from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages. It is expressly understood that if Final Completion is not achieved within the Contract Time, City will suffer damages from the delay that are difficult to determine and accurately specify. City will charge the Contractor $1,500 for each calendar day that Final Completion is delayed beyond the Contract Time. License. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classifications: Class "A," General Engineering Contractor or Class "C12," Earthwork and Paving Contractor. Bid Security. The Bid Form must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that within ten days after City issues the Notice of Potential Award, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, insurance certificates and endorsements, and any other submittals required by the Contract Documents and as specified in the Notice of Potential Award. Performance and Payment Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, as further specified in the Contract Documents.
