Reference Number 0000388545 Park County is seeking an architect to provide architectural services and coordinate engineering services for the next phase of rehabilitation at the Old County Courthouse located at 418 Main Street in Fairplay, CO. This 1874 building on the National Register of Historic Places is an important historic resource of the area and a priority preservation project for the community. The proposed scope of work addresses site rehabilitation for ADA compliance and drainage, masonry rehabilitation and reestablishing bricked up windows on the ground floor, ADA elevator addition, interior rehabilitation for ADA access, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system upgrades. Architecture and Engineering Scope of Work: ADA Access, Site Work, Masonry Rehabilitation, Mechanicals Rehabilitation Provide complete construction documents for the following scope of work, coordinating architectural and structural and electrical engineering services: Site Rehabilitation a. Rehabilitate parking lot and sidewalks to achieve ADA compliant parking and an ADA compliant travel path to the basement entry of the building. b. Eliminate surface roof drainage adjacent to the building. Move drainage below grade and install splash blocks and extensions where necessary by location. c. Replace missing and damaged roof drainage system components. d. Re-grade site where needed to address areas of water ponding. e. Address site drainage at window wells. Re-establish basement window openings, installing window wells and drainage where necessary. f. Bury power lines on site in coordination with site grading and other ground disturbing activities. Masonry Rehabilitation a. Rehabilitate exterior masonry wing walls at the south entry stairs. b. Complete minor repointing and other masonry work where necessary. Elevator Addition a. Per the Schematic Design documents, elevator addition to be located at the northwest corner of the building to provide ADA access to all levels. Tie into the building. b. Rehabilitate historic masonry and other exterior and interior finish components to accommodate the elevator addition. Interior Rehabilitation a. Modify exterior entrance at the basement level for ADA compliance b. Complete basement renovation to allow for full, ADA compliant use of the space c. Install ADA compliant restroom in the basement. d. Modify interior finishes at re-established basement windows. Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Rehabilitation a.
