The University is seeking up to three (3) firms with relevant qualifications that include: Proven experience in providing structural peer review services during preliminary design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration phases. Services include reviewing structural engineering design concepts, construction drawings, specifications, calculations, and details as appropriate for general conformance to the latest edition of the California Building Code, the University of California Seismic Policy online, the basis of design and the professional standard of care applicable to projects. Consultants may be required to respond to RFI's, submittals, proposed substitutions and other contract documents. Proven experience in providing seismic evaluations of existing buildings and structures as appropriate to meet the Consulting Structural Engineer requirements as outlined in the University of California's Seismic Safety Policy. Proven experience in providing structural engineering design services for a range of small projects, such as concrete pads, lab renovations and small buildings. Projects may be structural engineering led or in support of the UC Davis in-house design group.
