New equipment and steam boilers to supply steam to the equipment listed on provided Price Sheets. The University is embarking on a major conversion of central steam to low temperature hot water. As a result, the central steam provided for all existing Sterilizers, Glass washers and Autoclaves will be discontinued and the need for locally electrically generated steam becomes needed. This bid is to retrofit these pieces of equipment with electric steam boilers installed in sterilizers or separately installed to provide steam to these units. See Price sheets for equipment list. Included in the bid are 2 Sterilizers and 1 Washer replacement. The 30KW steam-boiler addon is standard in the industry and could be any of the three large manufacturers noted on the Price Sheets (Pacific Steam, Fulton, and Sussman) and would fit in the existing cavity in the sterilizer This is a public works project. The awardee and any subcontractors must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations as a prevailing wage contractor and must possess a current California contractor s license. All labor must be priced at the appropriate California Department of Industrial Relations designated prevailing wage rate. All on-site Project work will take place within Yolo County, California. The University reserves the right to negotiate each, and every aspect of any Proposal received in response to this RFX. In addition, the University may require additional cost and pricing data or documentation prior to award of any Contract in whole or in part which may result from this RFX. The University reserves the right to negotiate any elements of cost before awarding a Contract in response to this RFX This RFX contains the instructions governing the responses to be submitted and the material to be included therein. Mandatory requirements within must be met to be eligible for consideration. All questions must be submitted using the online system. Any responses conveying material information shall be provided to all recipients of the original solicitation via answers posted to the online system. Bidders who seek or receive information regarding this solicitation from any University official other than that through the online system or the RFX Administrator may be declared non-responsive and removed from further consideration for award. Bidders questions and any University answers will become public records. The University will review each Submission/Proposal/Bid to determine if all the RFX requirements have been met. Proposals that meet all RFX requirements will be considered responsive. Proposals that do not meet all RFX requirements may be considered non-responsive and receive no further consideration. Any Contract(s) resulting from this solicitation shall be awarded to the bidders who demonstrate they are responsive and responsible and provides the Lowest Price. Interested parties can bid on all, some or none of the three (3) Price Sheets. Price Sheets will be reviewed separately for the Lowest Price. Bidder is strongly encouraged to complete and submit its response at least 24 hours prior to the deadline to allow time to address any technical difficulties. For a bid to be considered, the vendor, and any proposed subcontractors must be registered and in good standing with the DIR at time of bid, at time of award and during the full term of any Blanket PO or agreement issued and have a current CA Contractor's License. Other Mandatory Requirements/Bidder Pre-Qualifying Criteria: These are defined as standards that if not met or supplied by the Bidder, the UC reserves the sole right to reject Bid without limitation. BIDDER eligibility to respond to this RFX is based on BIDDER'S ability to meet the qualification requirements listed below. The UNIVERSITY, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to determine whether any BIDDER meets the minimum eligibility standards, to determine whether a Bid is responsive, and to select a Bid which best serves its financial and program objectives. The UNIVERSITY reserves the right to reject all Bids. If the bidder fails to provide any requested information, the University may at its sole option, ask the Bidder to provide the missing information or evaluate the proposal without the missing information. In addition, the University reserves the right to request clarification on any aspect of a submission if, in the opinion of the University, the information or intent is unclear.
