Scope of Work Includes, but is Not Limited to: Phase 1 Kirchhoff Park Improvements Site Clearing & Demolition Removal of the Two (2) Existing Restroom Buildings, Removal of Two (2) Wood Framed Pavilions, Including Utilities, Removal of the Existing Playground, Wood Ramp, Site Furnishings, Removal of the Existing Asphalt Pickleball and Basketball Courts, Removal of the North Parking and Driveway, East Pathway, and Selective Areas of Concrete Pavement Utilities Installation of New Sanitary and Storm Sewer Systems, Water and Electrical Services, Including Site Lighting Steel Shelter Assembly Assembly and Erection of Three (3) Prefabricated Steel Shelters Purchased and Provided by the Valparaiso Parks & Recreation Department, Including Concrete Footings and Electrical Service. Concrete Foundation for Pre fabriacted Restroom Construction of Two (2) Concrete Foundations to Support the Installation of Two (2) 24-6 X 12-6 Prefabricated Restroom. Prefabricated Restrooms to Be Installed by Owner. oncrete Pavement Construction of Approximately 41,510 Square Feet of Concrete Pavement/flatwork With Approximately 290 Linear Feet of an Integral Concrete Playground Curb/edge. Lawn Restoration Restoration of Approximately Four (4) Acres of Disturbed Lawn and Site Clearing Areas. Phase 2 Institute Street Improvements Maintenance of Traffic Traffic Maintenance Signage, Including Sidewalk and Street Closure Identification. A certified cashiers check payable to the City of Valparaiso or a bid bond in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid. All checks of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned to them by the City upon selection of successful bidder. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract amount. Bids will be presented, and if acceptable, a recommendation of award will be made at the Board of Public Works meeting within City Hall Council Chambers, 166 W. Lincolnway, Valparaiso, IN 46383 beginning at 11:00 am, local prevailing time on Friday, June 27, 2025. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding, should the City deem it to be in the public interest to do so.
