The purpose of this amendment is to:1. Extend the bid submission due date/bid opening date to Wednesday July 2, 2025 at 1:00 PM ET / 12:00 PM CT. Please see Revised Bid Opening Information attachment for updated bid opening link and call-in information.2. Provide answers to questions received for all interested parties. Please see Questions & Answers attachment.3. Provide an addendum to the Project Specifications related to recent events at the jobsite. Please see Addendum attachment.Please remember that bid packages must acknowledge all amendments via box 19 of the SF 1442 or by including the SF 30 for each amendment in the bid package. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary to replace eight existing picnic shelter structures and one pergola structure for a total of nine structures. In addition to the structures, work will also include the replacement of boardwalks, concrete slabs, sidewalks, concrete pads, and furnishings (picnic tables, trash containers, grills, and hot and coal bins) Estimated project magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,0000,000. 140P6425B0001/0001 Contractor questions regarding this solicitation will be accepted in writing by email to: jordan_ellis@nps.gov. All questions shall be received no later than Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 12:00 PM ET to be considered. Work consists of: 1. Replace eight (8) existing shelter structures with POLIGON NSL - 20x24 Picnic Shelter Structures or Equal. Also, replace the existing Pergola structure with a new POLIGON NSL - 20x24 Picnic Shelter Structure or Equal. The total amount of new shelter structures will be nine (9) in total. 2. See limits of construction on Drawings Sheets C02 - C05 of Appendix A. The contractor shall maintain access to the public for the south trail path that cross between the existing picnic shelters #3 & #4. 3. Remove existing boardwalk around the picnic shelters (#1 - #8). See Drawings Sheet C03 of Appendix A for exact location and Table at the end of this section for quantities. 4. Remove existing concrete slabs for picnic shelters (#1 - #8). See Drawings Sheet C03 of Appendix A for exact location and Table at the end of this section for quantities. 5. Cut and remove existing sidewalk portion from picnic shelters #1, #2 and #8. See Drawings Sheet C03 of Appendix A for exact location and Table at the end of this section for quantities. 6. Remove existing Pergola (17'-6" x 18'). See Drawings Sheet C03 of Appendix A for exact location. Contractor shall field verify all dimensions and quantities. 7. Install foundations to each column (5'x5' x 10" thick) 42" deep out of the frozen zone. Pedestal 12"x12" with 4 No. 5, Use SEVEN (7) stirrups spaced @ 6" with 4 dowel No. 5 (or follow manufacturer foundation design). Foundations need to be installed per manufacturer recommendations and to meet IBC 2024. Foundations need to be outside of the frozen depth. See example design below. 10. Picnic grills must be at least 10' from any structure to meet the NFPA requirements. Provide an open clear area of 4' around the entire grill. See Drawing Sheet C04 of Appendix A. 11. Remove existing concrete pad for each shelter. See Drawings Sheet C03 of Appendix A for exact location and Table at the end of this section for quantities. Contractor shall field verify all dimensions and quantities. 12. Replace all furnishings: a. Replace 16 picnic tables. Add two (2) new picnic shelter for a total of 18 picnic tables.
