Contractors must be properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes - at time of bid opening - to perform the work described herein as the general/prime contractor. As a design-build project, the contractor will be chosen by qualifications-based selection, with criteria being MWBE participation plan, project experience, project approach, and qualifications of personnel assigned to the project, including any subconsultants. Current schedule: Preconstruction start August 2025 with one year for construction beginning May 2026. Neither Owner nor Engineer has any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or sufficiency of any Bidding Documents obtained from any source other than the Issuing Office. Obtaining these documents from any source other than the Issuing Office may result in obtaining incomplete and inaccurate information. The project consists of constructing a new pump station and associated lines to accommodate wastewater flow. The required lines include approximately 9000 linear feet (lf) of 12-inch gravity sewer and approximately 4000 lf of 10- inch force main. The force main will terminate at a future manhole located just east of the intersection of Wallburg Road and Sherlie Weavil Road. The pump station will be a duplex submersible type with a firm pumping capacity of 660 gallons per minute (gpm).
