The scope of work includes the removal of existing turf, soil preparation, installation of new high-quality, drought-resistant plantings, and improvements to the irrigation system to enhance efficiency and support long-term sustainability. The project prioritizes low-water-use, native, and regionally adapted grass species to maintain aesthetic and functional green space while significantly reducing irrigation demand. Any and all Work awarded will be to one Contractor. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of forty-five (45) days after the date fixed for opening Bids. The City reserves the right to award the contract by sections, to reject any or all Bids, and to waive any informalities and irregularities therein. All Bidders agree that damage or claim shall not be brought by any Bidder because of rejections, nor shall the Bidders seek any recourse of any kind against the City because of such rejections. The filing of any Bid in response to this invitation shall constitute a binding agreement of the Bidder to these conditions. All Bids shall be prepared and submitted to City at the Bidder's expense, and all Bids become a City record and therefore a public record. The City of Golden is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the Triangle Park Turf Replacement Project as part of its ongoing efforts to improve public green spaces while enhancing water efficiency and sustainability. Triangle Park is a well-used community space that serves local residents and visitors, offering recreational opportunities and green space in the heart of Golden, Colorado. Over time, the existing turf has experienced significant wear and tear due to heavy use, environmental factors, and natural aging. This project aligns with the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) & City of Golden water efficiency and conservation efforts, emphasizing drought resilience, reduced water consumption, and the integration of native and climate-adapted plant species. The scope of work includes the removal of existing turf, soil preparation, installation of new high-quality, drought-resistant plantings, and improvements to the irrigation system to enhance efficiency and support long-term sustainability. The project prioritizes low-water-use, native, and regionally adapted grass species to maintain aesthetic and functional green space while significantly reducing irrigation demand. Question Deadline 06/27/2025 at 12:00 PM MT Major items of Work will include items listed that may not be all inclusive or necessarily in chronological order of project sequence. 1. Completion of contractual obligations, including bonding and insurance requirements and applicable permitting. 2. Mobilization, installation of temporary facilities, materials storage area, and erosion control best management practices. 3. Demolition related to the improvements including, saw cutting, concrete walk removal sidewalk (as applicable), existing landscape removal, and other miscellaneous removals. Apply glyphosate on existing irrigated turf, and remove existing irrigated turf. 4. Ancillary project requirements, such as construction staking, traffic control, etc. 5. Salvage, stockpile, and Place Existing Top Soil, and Import of Topsoil as identified. 6. Site improvements which include sand filter piping, grading, liner installation, filter material import, subgrade preparation, concrete curb, gutter, sidewalks and chase drain construction, and other ancillary work. 7. Finish grading and installation of landscaping materials, rock mulch, wood chip mulch, boulders, and other finishes. 8. Landscaping Improvements Soil Prep, Seeding, Planting, installation of site furnishings (Bike Racks), and irrigation. 9. Project close-out and clean-up requirements and warranty of improvements. At the above-stated time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be opened and read aloud. This Contract provides for Construction of the following Work: The scope of work includes the removal of existing turf, soil preparation, installation of new high-quality, droughtresistant plantings, and improvements to the irrigation system to enhance efficiency and support long-term sustainability. The project prioritizes low-water-use, native, and regionally adapted grass species to maintain aesthetic and functional green space while significantly reducing irrigation demand. Any and all Work awarded will be to one Contractor. Question Deadline 06/27/2025 at 12:00 PM MT Engineer or Engineer's designee will issue clarifications and interpretations of the Contract Documents as provided herein. Any clarifications and interpretations ofthe Contract Documents requiring legal interpretation or review shall be forwarded to the Owner's attorney for review and comment before the Engineer issues any clarification or interpretation. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted by electronic correspondence or in writing. Interpretation or clarifications considered necessary in response to such questions will be issued only by Addenda. Questions received less than four (4) days prior to the date for opening of the Bids may not be answered. Only responses to questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
