The City of Golden is seeking proposals for Street Light Maintenance, On-Call Support, and Repair Services The City of Golden, Colorado, has implemented specific street lighting standards to enhance energy efficiency and minimize light pollution. The City, currently owns and maintains approximately 1100 streetlights within the City Limits. In 2022, the city conducted a community survey to select a preferred LED streetlight design. The Lumec Road Focus Reduced Glare LED bulb with a 2700K color temperature emerged as the City Standard. Following the survey, the Golden City Council approved a project to replace all cobra head, mast arm streetlights with the selected LED fixtures. Over the past few years, the City has converted a majority of the lights to this standard in order to reduce energy consumption, lower maintenance costs, and enhance nighttime visibility for both drivers and pedestrians. Golden's approach to street lighting reflects a commitment to community involvement, sustainability, and the adoption of modern technologies that respect both environmental considerations and the city's aesthetic values. The City desires to contract for the maintenance and repair of the City's streetlights, and other public lighting. The Contractor will provide these services for various equipment and systems, including (but not limited to) city owned streetlights, parking lot lighting, park lighting, city facility external lighting, and other related facilities as needed. The Contractor will furnish all necessary materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals as required, to perform such maintenance, on-call and emergency repair services as specified in this Request for Proposals (RFP).
