The Sugar Springs Development located in Butman Township, Gladwin County includes two Part 315 regulated dam structures which form Lake Lancelot and Lake Lancer. This project includes work on both dam structures as summarized. Lake Lancelot - Removing and replacing the Grass Lake level control structure, abandoning in place the Saddle Dam No. 3 Structure, improvements to a small auxiliary spillway. Lake Lancer - Concrete repairs on the primary spillway, abandonment of existing low level out, construction of new cold water discharge system, removal of existing fish ladder, low level outlet. This project is for the replacement of the existing Part 315 and Part 307 lake level structure for Lake Lancelot. This includes removal of existing structure, installation of concrete intake structure, concrete pipe, weir gates, grating and abandonment of other lake level structure in different location. This project also includes work on the Lake Lancer Part 315 dam. This includes abandonment of the existing cold water discharge system, construction of a new cold water system, concrete repairs, installation of storm sewer and removal of fish ladder system.
