The Project includes the following Work: Contract No. 1 - Furnishing all materials, labor, and necessary items for the construction and installation of approximately 85,000 linear feet (LF) of 10-inch and smaller diameter waterline, 37 fire hydrants, 84 gate valves, in addition to the water meters, meter relocations, service connections, and other related items and appurtenances as outlined in the Plans and Specifications. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Contract Times for Contract: 310 calendar days to substantial completion and 340 calendar days to complete work ready for final payment. Contractor shall pay Owner $1,000 for each day that expires after the time (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) for Substantial Completion until the Work is substantially complete Bids shall be submitted on the furnished Bid forms. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated on the Bid Form. The bids shall be submitted using the two (2) envelope system. Envelope #1 will contain the required bid documents. Envelope #2 will contain only the bid form and bid schedule. A five percent (5%) Bid Bond or certified cashier's check must accompany all bids. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
