AC Units For Skycop Area at Safety Building Description Scope of Services The City of Toledo DPS/FAFO is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to install Three (3) mini split units are needed for year-round cooling purposes in a portion of the Safety building. Questions must be submitted thru electronically. Bid prices shall be to two (2) decimal places (i.e. $0.00). Only one (1) price per line item will be accepted. In order to be responsive, all bids must have the following uploaded with submittal online: Construction Project Paperwork* Line Items Bid Guaranty (bid bond or certified check / cashier's check on a solvent bank) Signed Contract by the Vendor* Child Support Affidavit* Bureau of Worker's Compensation Certificate Insurance Certificate, naming the City of Toledo as an additional insurer - requirements available online The bid guaranty shall be in the form of a cashier's check/official check on a solvent bank or a bid bond. If using a check as the bid guaranty, the check must be received by the Division of Purchases and Supplies no later than the due date and time to be deemed responsive. The check must also be scanned and uploaded online. Company checks and personal checks will NOT be accepted. Checks shall be made payable to "City of Toledo." If your company is using a bid bond, scan and upload with bid; the original does not need to be received by the City of Toledo. The following items will be required upon awarding the contract: Performance Bond and PLA, if applicable. The successful bidder shall submit certified payrolls to the City for all labor performed on the project 2 weeks after start date then weekly thereafter Special Notices Prevailing Wages are required for this project. It is the obligation of a contractor or subcontractor to make payment in accordance with the prevailing wage determinations. Current prevailing wage rates may be found online SCOPE AND SPECIFICATIONS Install 3 mini-split heads on the wall and one condenser on the roof of the third floor for the computer room and the server room of the Safety Building. Unit will have low ambient controls to run cooling in the winter if needed SCOPE OF WORK: - Use a JLG to get the condenser to the roof. - Set the condenser and mount it down to stand, secure stand to the roof. - Mount 2 heads on the wall in the computer room, and one head on the wall of the server room. Each head will put out 1.5 tons of cooling. - Run a lineset from the condenser outside using existing pitch pocket into ceiling of the third floor to a distribution box. Run linesets to each wall unit from the distribution box. - Braze all connections in place and pull a vacuum on the system. - Mount a condensate pump onto each wall unit and run those drain lines out to the roof. - Electric run for condenser and condensate pump to be included. - Mount 2 separate remotes to control temperatures (one for each head). - Tie power into the condenser from the disconnect. - Perform complete operational check when work is complete.
