Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Toledo, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Scope of Work Consists of Furnishing and Installing Decorative Concrete Pavers Within an Existing Concrete Paver Bed, Including Core-drilling Weep-holes, Geotextile, Sand Bedding Base and Jointing Sand. Each Bidder Must Furnish a Bid Guaranty Either in the Form of (1) a Bond for the Full Amount of the Bid or (2) a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Irrevocable Letter of Credit in an Amount Equal to Ten Percent (10%) of the Bid With Its Bid. The Successful Bidder Must Furnish a 100 Percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond. No Bidder May Withdraw Its Bid Within Thirty (30) Days After the Actual Date of the Opening Thereof. The Board of Park Commissioners of the Metropolitan Park District of the Toledo Area Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, and to Waive Any Informality in Bidding. Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 07/08/2025 1:00 PM (EDT) QA - 7/8/25: The existing decorative concrete pavement may be utilized by the contractor for temporary storage of materials and equipment during the installation of pavers. The contractor shall use extreme caution and provide protection of the concrete surface by placement of wood boards or other material to prevent scratching and damage to the existing surface. Rubber tire equipment shall be utilized with protection provided when turning wheels. The existing concrete is eight (8) inches thick and is able to accommodate storage of material and typical equipment used for this project. At the end of each workday, the path shall be cleared of materials and equipment and allow for passage of emergency vehicles. Metroparks owns property nearby at 1456 Summit St. that may be utilized by the contractor for staging and storage of equipment and materials. Metroparks will work with the contractor to determine areas of the existing adjacent parking lots that may be used by the contractor while minimizing disruptions to daily operations at Toledo Pickle
