Renovation of a residential development in Metropolis, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Demo unit as necessary for new partition layout, remove and replacement of gypsum board for installation of exterior insulation, and plumbing fixture relocation. Install new partitions, doors and frames, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, kitchen cabinets, and flooring. In accordance with Clause No. 9, Bid Guarantee, of the Instructions to Bidders, all bids must be accompanied by a negotiable bid guarantee in the form of a certified check or bank draft, payable to the Massac County Housing Authority, U.S. Government Bonds at par value, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. The surety company must be authorized to do business in the state where the project is located and must be acceptable to the Government. If the bid guarantee is not submitted with the bid, the PHA will reject the bid. Proposals shall be made on unaltered bid forms which are incorporated herein. All blank spaces shall be completed. Proposals shall be signed with name typed below signature. When bidder is a corporation, proposals must be signed with the legal name of the corporation followed by the name of the state of incorporation and the legal signature of an officer authorized to bind the corporation to a contract. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. The scope of work consists of Unit 93 Section 504 Conversion at Project IL-41-9/Metropolis in Massac County, Illinois funded through Modernization Program No. IL01P041-501-24. The scope of work essentially includes the following work and shall be bid under one lump sum contract. 1. Base Bid: a. Convert Unit 93 to meet Section 504/ADA accessibility standards. Demo unit as necessary for new partition layout. Remove concrete floor as necessary for bathroom relocation and relocate plumbing. Backfill below slab with compacted aggregate from previous sewer line repairs. Install new partitions, doors and frames, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, kitchen cabinets and countertops, and appliances. Install new vinyl plank flooring and vinyl base throughout, with sheet vinyl flooring and cove base in the dwelling unit bathroom. Remove and replace all gypsum board from walls/partitions with new gypsum board. Install new spray foam insulation in all exterior walls of the dwelling unit. Site work includes adding reinforced concrete extension to existing concrete stoop. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty days (60) subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority. The Massac County Housing Authority will receive sealed bids for Unit 93 Section 504 Conversion funded under Modernization Program No. IL01P041-501-24 at Project IL-41-9/Metropolis, in Massac County, Illinois. Bids shall be submitted in a single lump sum proposal. In accordance with Clause No. 9, Bid Guarantee, of the Instructions to Bidders, all bids must be accompanied by a negotiable bid guarantee in the form of a certified check or bank draft, payable to the Massac County Housing Authority, U.S. Government Bonds at par value, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. The surety company must be authorized to do business in the state where the project is located and must be acceptable to the Government. If the bid guarantee is not submitted with the bid, the PHA will reject the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds acceptable to the Housing Authority all in accordance with Clause No. 10, Assurance of Completion, of the Instructions to Bidders.
