Fire Station 4 Renovations Question Deadline 07/09/2025 Questions due to the Village (sent via email to Alan Carr, acarr@voslwi.gov) The Fire Station #4 Renovations work generally involves converting the old rescue squad building in the Village of Salem Lakes into a fully functional and staffed 24-hour response station. The Village requests the proposals be itemized as described below with separate costs for each portion of the project. 1. Main Fire Equipment Building Access - New Doors/Exterior Concrete Slab o Relocate gas piping and electrical piping servicing infra-red heaters and electrical systems, allowing new door openings to be installed. o Remove interior liner panel, wall sub-framing, and exterior wall panes as needed to create two 12'x12' overhead door openings. o Reconstruct wall at openings as required with new wood headers, new door trims, re-use existing wall panels as needed. Supply and install new metal flashings to cover any wood jambs/header for new openings. o Remove existing asphalt on west side of building for an area 30'x20' and replace with 8" thick concrete slab sloped up to floor slab height and side sloped to asphalt. Concrete slab to be reinforced with wire mesh and #4 rebars around perimeter. Slab also to be tied to building slab with slip type dowels. o Supply and install two new 12'x12' sectional overhead doors with electric door openers with commercial three button door controllers. o Labor and material to reconnect gas piping to heaters as needed to route/clear new overhead doors. o Labor and material to supply power to new overhead door operators and work associated with installing new doors. Approximate quantities of work include: New Doors/Exterior Concrete Slab - 1 LS Interior Changing/Sleeping Renovations - 1 LS Interior Re-Paint - 1 LS Ceiling Tile Replacement - 1 LS The Village of Salem Lakes reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received or to further consider any firm qualifications which may be to the best interest of the Village of Salem Lakes.
