Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount equal to 10% of proposer's annual bid to provide these services. The District reserves the right to accept any proposal, in whole or in part, waive minor inconsistencies and/or negotiate further regarding any terms of the proposal to achieve the best proposal as determined by the District at its sole discretion and to reject any or all proposals for any reason whatsoever, should it be deemed in the best interests of the District to do So. For purposes of comparison and evaluation, candidates are directed to price the proposal in accordance with all requirements outlined in this RFP. The District is willing to entertain and encourages the proposal of alternates to those requirements contained herein-example: revenue sharing. These will be considered as part of the final selection process. Alternatives should be clearly detailed and provide cost ramifications on an item by item basis. The contract start date is anticipated to be on or about October 1, 2025. Question Deadline 06/30/2025. The District reserves the right to make minor changes within the general scope of work to the executed contract to address reasonable issues that may arise during the contract term. During the entire contract period in accordance with a regular schedule, the contractor shall provide the service of recyclable and solid waste collection, as set forth in this Request for Proposal in a legal and proper manner. Failure to conform to the contract within 24 hours will result in the vendor being penalized $500 per day, until the performance issues are resolved. Such liquidated damages as the District shall elect to collect shall be deducted from the next monthly payment made to the Contractor.
