The work to be performed under this contract generally consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, accessories, and labor to furnish and perform all operations necessary to remove and replace twenty- four (24) fire hydrants, connections to existing facilities, abandonment of existing facilities, erosion control, asphalt removal & replacement, concrete removal & replacement, site restoration to a condition equal to or better than the existing condition at the start of construction. The Bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be required to furnish "Performance and Maintenance" and "Labor and Material Payment" bonds to the District. The "Performance and Maintenance" and "Labor and Material Payment" bonds shall be furnished in the amount of 100 percent of the contract, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to accept that proposal which in its sole and absolute judgment will under all circumstances best serve the District's interest. No proposal will be accepted from any firm, person, or corporation, who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise, or is deemed incompetent, irresponsible, or unreliable by the District Board of Directors. The project is located in Jefferson County, Colorado, within the boundaries of the Willowbrook Water and Sanitation District. The specific site is shown on the vicinity map in the Construction Drawings. The Contractor shall satisfy themselves as to the site location and project conditions prior to bid. No bids will be considered which are received after the time indicated above, and any bids so received after the scheduled closing time shall be returned to the bidder unopened. All questions are to be submitted to the District Engineer. Bidder questions are to be submitted by 5:00 pm on Tuesday July 15, 2025. Questions will be answered via Addenda by Thursday July 17, 2025. The extents of the fire hydrant replacement shall be the vertical portion only, including the fire hydrant, riser pipe, 90-degree bend and kickblock.
