Directional Boring & Conduit Installation Bore and install approx. 1,500 linear feet of 1.25" SDR 11 or SDR 13.5 HDPE conduit Minimum depth: 36" Conduit shall include mule tape (rated 1,200+ lbs.) for future fiber pulls Install tracer wire or locate-tone wire if feasible for future underground location Contractor to provide as-built layout of bore path and pull lines 2. Install Eight (8) Fiber Handholes Furnish and install 8 polymer concrete fiber handholes, vaults, or pull boxes Suggested size: 24"x36"x24" with bolt-down lids marked "Fiber" or "Communications" Boxes to include 3-4 conduit ports for future expansion Handhole locations to be coordinated in field with Owner All boxes shall be installed flush with finished grade and include gravel base and backfill 3. Miss Dig & Utility Coordination Contractor is responsible for all MISS DIG 811 coordination and utility locating Protect all existing utilities and infrastructure 4. Site Restoration Contractor shall restore all disturbed areas, including lawns, stone, or gravel drives Compact and backfill bore entry/exit pits to prevent future settling Conduit & Handhole Specs: Conduit 1.25" HDPE SDR 11 or 13.5, orange, UL-listed, continuous with no mid-line couplings preferred Handholes (Vaults) Polymer concrete or equivalent, 24"x36"x24" minimum, bolt-down lid labeled "Fiber" or "Communications" Build America, Buy America (BABA) Compliance: All HDPE conduit, fiber handholes, and associated materials furnished and installed as part of this project must be compliant with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA), as required under federal funding regulations.
