SHERWOOD REGIONAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT SHAWNEE COUNTY PROJECT S-401024.00 PLANT ASSESSMENT AND IMPROVEMENTS INTRODUCTION The Board of County Commissioners (BCC) of Shawnee County, Kansas (the "County") is seeking a well-qualified Contractor (the "Contractor") to provide services for the assessment and upgrade of the Sherwood Treatment Plant (the "Project") using the minimum requirements outlined below. The Project's funding will be split between the balance of an existing $7,000,000 KDHE loan and user fees deposited into the Sherwood Regional Sewer District fund. PROJECT GOALS By the Project's conclusion, the selected Contractor will provide a safe, reliable, efficient and high quality facility that is in full compliance with KDHE Permit No. M-KS72-0027 (Attachment A), and KDHE Consent Order (Case No. 25-E-002 BOW) (Attachment B). PROJECT SCOPE With consideration to the Project's goals, the County will select a qualified Contractor to conduct an assessment of the plant's condition and operational needs, identify best solutions, develop design and construction documents, determine costs, evaluate means and methods, sequence construction, and schedule and construct improvements.
