Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a three-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and water / sewer project.

This phase of the project features a four-story classroom addition along with a three-story learning commons addition being constructed on the north side of the existing school. With the first bid release, Gilbane is accepting bids for the earthwork, concrete foundations, & structural steel required to get the project started in the fall of 2025 and will release the balance of bid packages in September 2025. Foundation work includes the installation of rammed aggregate piers, frost walls and footings for the learning commons, and full height foundation walls for the 100 level of the building. Structural steel and composite slabs will be utilized for the above grade structure with stairs & misc. metals being bid within a separate bid package. Interior renovation scope for the summers of 2026 & 2027 will be minimal for the below listed bid packages. Sitework included within this phase of work includes tree removal, site clearing & rough grading, foundation excavation & backfill, and site utilities including stormwater, sanitary sewer, and water service. The addition is expected to break ground November 2025 and be complete in May 2027.
